Global Director Environmental Management and Product Stewardship, Interface Ms. Hensler received her Masters of Science in Applied and Environmental Microbiology from Georgia State University and is a Life Cycle Assessment Certified Professional (LCACP) and a Certified Life Cycle Assessment Reviewer (CLAR).

Connie Hensler is a globally recognized expert in environmental impact assessment. She has been responsible for driving reduction in environmental impact by providing clear and accurate insight into product development processes and the supply chain. She identifies solutions for both impact reduction and the elimination of chemicals of concern in product life cycles. She provides credible data to develop and substantiate sustainability claims particularly those related to carbon footprint, greenhouse gas emissions, and environmental impact.
As Director of Environmental Management and Product Stewardship at Interface, a world leader in environmental sustainability, Connie collaborates with Procurement, Marketing, Legal, and R&D functions towards innovative product development, is responsible for product stewardship and substantiation of sustainability marketing claims. She manages the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) programs at Interface which support this work and the carbon neutral programs and publication of Environmental Product Declarations.
Ms. Hensler has published LCA research in the Journal of Industrial Ecology and the International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment and is a frequent presenter at LCA and sustainability conferences. She holds multiple patents for her work in polymer formulation, the most recent example being the 2020 development of a carbon negative product. She is chair of the board of directors of the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment. She received the 2019 US Green Building Council’s Chrysalis Legacy Award for her commitment to environmental action and leadership.
